Yesterday was an exciting time when Western Illinois officially welcomed JD Gravina as women's basketball head coach during our Monday press conference inside Western Hall. Dr. Tim Van Alstine introduced the newest member of Leatherneck Athletics in front of a capacity crowd inside the Hall of Fame room Monday. Gravina and his wife Meredith were welcomed by members of the University and Macomb community.
It was great to see a full house inside the HOF room to show their support of Coach Gravina and Leatherneck women's basketball. He is a very energetic coach and I think his style of play will bring excitement to Western Hall. Coach is highly thought of in Quincy and that will carry over to Macomb.

Don't forget, the annual Bruce Craddock Memorial Spring Game takes place Saturday at Hanson Field. It is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
Best of luck to the men's and women's golf teams completing the final round of the Summit League championship today. Men's Tennis will be the #2 seed for the upcoming Summit championships. Play starts Friday afternoon against IUPUI.
